West Coast Crowing
Where healthy grasslands persist, ringnecks can scratch out a living!
From the SW coast of Washington State, longtime member Denny Hieronymus sent us this stunning photo of a crowing rooster.
"I caught on my trail cam what is probably the westernmost rooster in the contiguous US. In May, I flushed a hen and eight quail-sized chicks in the immediate area of the photo. Flushing birds in the sand dunes just a few yards from the ocean is something most people will never get to witness."
