Up to three million acres of public lands could be offered for sale

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are closely following the budget reconciliation bill now being considered in the U.S. Senate, which contains provisions for the sell-off of America’s public lands.

Up to three million acres of OUR public lands across 11 western states could be offered for sale through this bill — with no opportunity for sportsmen and women to have a say.

The proposal would mandate sales of public land in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. This could be devastating for hunters, access and wildlife across the West, while setting a dangerous precedent for public lands throughout the country — your most cherished wild places could be next on the chopping block.

This proposal comes after similar provisions in the U.S. House version of the bill were soundly defeated, thanks to public land advocates like you, who stood up and made their voices heard.

America’s sportsmen and women have already spoken, and we now ask the Senate to listen.

TAKE ACTION NOW FOR PUBLIC LANDS BY SENDING A LETTER TO YOUR SENATORS!

Hunters stand to lose if the budget reconciliation bill moves forward with this provision included. If this proposal is enacted into law, we would all lose acres, habitat, access and our voice.

Please take a moment today to send a letter to your elected officials. It’s a very easy process, requiring mere seconds of your time. Please help PF & QF tell the U.S. Senate that selling OUR public lands is not a budget solution!
