Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever Welcome Adam Ray as New Oklahoma State Coordinator
Brings years of conservation experience and a passion for wildlife to the role
October 21, 2026 – Stillwater, Okla. – Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) are excited to introduce Adam Ray as the new Oklahoma state coordinator. In Ray’s role, he will be leading PF & QF’s conservation delivery effort throughout the state, working directly with our agency partners and local PF & QF chapters to lead and coordinate the delivery of wildlife habitat conservation both on private and public land.
“Adam brings strong field experience and a deep understanding of Oklahoma’s working lands to this role,” said Jeff Tibbits, director of conservation delivery for PF & QF’s South region. “His expertise in prescribed fire and his work with landowners and conservation partners have already made him an important part of our Oklahoma team. I’m excited to see him build on that work as state coordinator.”
Ray is an Oklahoma native and natural resource professional specializing in wildlife conservation, rangeland management, and prescribed fire. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Natural Resource Ecology and Management from Oklahoma State University, concentrating on rangelands and fire ecology during his studies. Ray previously served as a coordinating wildlife biologist for PF & QF where he collaborated with landowners, prescribed burn associations, conservation agencies, and natural resource professionals to develop and implement practical habitat-management strategies.
“While being raised in the Stillwater area, I developed an early appreciation for the state’s wildlife and working landscapes,” Ray said. “In this new role, I hope to continue applying my experience in science-based management to improve wildlife habitat while supporting productive, resilient working lands, and the families that steward them.”
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their one-year-old son, Gus, as well as fly fishing, bowhunting, and following bird dogs alongside his friends and colleagues on local public lands.
