“Boomproof” is often the first thought that comes to mind when describing Filson’s Double Tin Chaps. Made of a double-layered tough, water-repellent oil finished tin cloth, you’ll experience armor-like protection from briars, brush, and anything else that gets in your way. Ask anyone, these chaps are built to last.
Filson Double Tin Chaps are one of my absolute favorite pieces of hunting gear. It took several years of hard hunting to wear out my Single Tins. I appreciate the features (Zippered bottoms) and robust design of the Double Tins. Expensive, but worth it for how long they last and how well they protect from yucca plants, thorns, and cactus, not to mention helping to keep snow out of your boots. Love them!!
I have had a pair of Filson Double Tins for more than 15 years of hard use in Kansas. There is nothing tougher. Virtually impossible to wear out.
Blaze orange for your pants? Seriously doubt that it matters at all what color your pants are. Most of the time in pheasant country weeds/grass will be as tall as your waist. Why is it so difficult to know what you wear on your upper half means more? And to give a product 2 stars JUST because it's not your color? Didn't know we were rating a product on its color instead of its quality.
Filson are tough and suppose to be guaranteed, i wore mine out in two seasonshunting in Eastern Oregon , sent them back in to get repaired and they lost both pairs, one was with the Pheasants Forever logo. Their customer service is literally non-existent, sent me a gift certificate for $110 not nearly the cost of a pair of double tins. Looking at something else.
I have owned single tin and got maybe 4 to 5 years out of them so I thought I would buy these double tin, what a waste of money!! I don't think I will get 5 years out of them. Don't waste your money.
If they came in blaze orange I'd buy them today. Why is it so difficult to choose safety?
