Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever Receive $300,000 Grant from Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation

April 30, 2025 – Glasgow, Mont. – Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) are honored to receive a $300,000 grant from the Arthur M. Bank Family Foundation. This funding will be directed toward the Montana Grasslands Initiative, supporting the work in Montana to advance grasslands conservation efforts and improve grasslands management.

“It’s very exciting to receive this grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation,” said Hunter VanDonsel, PF & QF’s Montana state coordinator. “This funding will allow the Montana team to provide more support to our conservation and landowner partners, and to pursue more ambitious goals for the restoration of grasslands and sagebrush steppe.”

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever launched the Montana Grasslands Initiative to advance its strategic plan by addressing the key threats to grasslands across the state, ensuring a vibrant Montana upland experience. The initiative strives to anchor intact grasslands, address vulnerable grasslands, restore key converted or altered grasslands and increase public access.

"We are proud to support Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s Montana Grasslands Initiative,” said Blair Beasley, managing director, Environment, Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. “This work is providing ranchers with high-quality assistance to implement conservation practices that protect Montana’s intact grasslands. This benefits both producers and the environment.”

The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation is a philanthropy founded to help transform lives and communities by uniting people across differences to find common cause. Started in 1995 by Arthur M. Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot, the foundation has granted more than $1.3 billion to charitable causes.
