Denver’s South Metro Pheasants Forever Chapter Hosts 15th Anniversary Banquet Featuring President and CEO Howard Vincent at the Marriott South Hotel

The South Metro Pheasants Forever Chapter will host its 15th annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, September 18, within the Marriott South Hotel in Lone Tree, Colorado. Featuring special guest Howard K. Vincent, president and CEO of Pheasants Forever, Inc., proceeds from one of the region’s largest nonprofit conservation gatherings will help fund outdoor education activities, wildlife biologists, habitat enhancements, and public access projects benefitting pheasants, quail, and other wildlife throughout the state of Colorado.

“As the South Metro Chapter enters its fifteenth year in the habitat business, the local committee has tackled conservation challenges in Colorado and moved “The Habitat Organization” forward in its mission to conserve wildlife habitat,” stated Howard Vincent. “Since 2006, volunteers in the greater Denver region have spent $833,000 to impact habitat, support advocacy efforts at state and national levels, and provide a wonderful resource for outdoor youth education efforts. I look forward to attending the banquet next month, conversing with Colorado conservationists, and speaking about the wonderful mission support provided by our local volunteers.”

Pheasants Forever has a deep and dedicated conservation history in the state of Colorado. Statewide chapters, including South Metro Pheasants Forever, have made impressive strides to conserve wildlife habitat and promote youth education. As a whole, volunteers have spent $15.1 million to complete 11,000 habitat projects improving more than 250,000 acres for pheasants and other wildlife. Additionally, volunteers have impacted the lives of Colorado youth by hosting mentor hunts, supporting youth shooting sports, holding outdoor events, and sponsoring The Ultimate Nature Experience (T.U.N.E) camps. Furthermore, South Metro Pheasants Forever has also contributed to further habitat improvement projects including the Farm Bill biologist partnership, no-till drill program for private/public lands, and Corners for Conservation public access program.

“After a long hiatus and a trying year for conservation groups, South Metro Pheasants Forever has returned for its fifteenth anniversary and a banquet that will help set the stage for upland conservation efforts in Colorado for the year ahead,” said David King, the group’s local president. “Featuring Pheasants Forever’s CEO Howard Vincent and an amazing lineup up auction items and raffles, we look forward to hosting one of the region’s premier fundraisers in the coming month.”

Banquet festivities will kick off at 4:30p.m. with games, raffles, and a silent auction followed by dinner and a live auction starting at 6:45p.m. Special guest Howard Vincent, President and CEO of Pheasants Forever, Inc. will be a featured speaker during the dinner hour.
