Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever today announced its first virtual Women, Wine & Wild Game event
to be hosted on the evening of August 20th. Featuring prominent wild game chef Danielle Prewett, founder of Wild + Whole
and contributing wild foods editor at MeatEater
, participants will cook alongside Prewett from their home kitchens via Zoom video conferencing while connecting with their peers during this live, one-hour event.
This Women, Wine & Wild Game experience is part of Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s Women on the Wing initiative
– outreach events designed to inspire and provide networking opportunities for women to become engaged, dynamic conservationists. This specific series focuses on females with interests in sustainable food sourcing, hunting, and general affinity for the outdoors.
“National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic helped spark a movement for these events when more than 100 outdoorswomen gathered to share their experiences and love for upland hunting,” said Marissa Jensen, education and outreach program manager for Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. “Our upcoming virtual event is an extension of that; fostering a community of female conservationists who can grow together over a shared enthusiasm for the outdoors and wild foods.”
