Passing a continuing resolution will help critical conservation work resume nationwide
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are calling on Congress to quickly pass a continuing resolution to reopen the federal government as soon as possible. A continuing resolution would extend funding at the currently appropriated levels and allow all government offices to reopen and services to resume.
“Without action to keep the federal government and its myriad programs operational, we will see widespread impacts for our fellow citizens,” said Ariel Wiegard, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s vice president of government affairs. “If this shutdown continues, nationwide conservation delivery and wildfire suppression efforts will grind to a halt, the payments and technical assistance relied on by farmers and ranchers will be delayed, and hunters risk losing access and recreational opportunities on public lands just as fall arrives. We urge Congress to work swiftly to pass a continuing resolution and reopen the federal government.”
