Pheasantennial Lager celebrates 100 years of pheasant hunting in South Dakota while supporting Pheasant Forever's habitat mission

A Homestead Brew of Valley Springs, South Dakota, has created Pheasantennial Lager to celebrate 100 years of pheasant hunting in the state, and to become the official beer of Pheasant Fest 2018, being held in Sioux Falls February 16 - 18.

True to the independent nature of South Dakota producers, A Homestead Brew embraces a farm-to-table approach to brewing. In 2012, Lee Anderson started a hop farm near Valley Springs on land his grandfather homesteaded. The company's mission is to provide locally grown, quality hops to home brewers and breweries in and around South Dakota ... including their own.

Acoording to Anderson, "Pheasantennial is a beautiful copper colored Vienna Lager with light hop characteristics featuring Cascade and Nugget hops. Munich malt and Vienna malt lend a surprisingly robust malt body with hints of toasted malt and floral hops."

The new beer will be featured at Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic banquets. What better way to celebrate South Dakota's Pheasantennial, and the 35th anniversary of The Habitat Organization? A portion of all Pheasantennial Lager proceeeds will go toward pheasant habitat, thanks to A Homestead Brew.

But you don't have to have banquet tickets to enjoy Pheasantennial Lager in Sioux Falls! The following pubs and taverns will also be serving the brew:
