All Your Goals Can be Met at the Habitat Help Desk
If you’ve been thinking about enrolling acres in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), now is the time to act! The USDA recently announced the 2026 enrollment periods for both the Continuous and General CRP. Offers are now being accepted for Continuous CRP with the first batching period ending on March 20, and the General CRP signup will run from March 9 through April 17.
Even if you’re not sure you want to sign up, the Habitat Help Desk at Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic is the perfect place to go. Here you can receive free assistance from Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever biologists to analyze your property and create a habitat conservation plan. No matter if you own hundreds of acres of land or just one, our team is happy to help you out!
First you walk up to the check-in desk to get set up with a biologist, based on where you are from.

A biologist will walk with you to a desk, where they can pull up your property onto the computer screen using OnX.

Here you can talk through what is on your property, where you want to make changes, and what conservation programs might be the best fit for you. No matter if it’s a federal or state-based program, they can help you figure out the best route to take.

If you want to enroll in CRP or a different program, they can help set up a follow-up visit with your local biologist. From there you can start to fill out the necessary application forms.
