Some of the top booths and brands to visit at National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic
By Casey Sill
Saturday is winding down, but the upland overload continues at National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic tomorow morning.
The show floor will be in full-swing when the doors open at 9 am, and there’ll be no shortage of opportunities for us to lessen the amount of money burning a hole in our pockets. Yesterday, I detailed a few of the top products at this year’s event. Today I’ll dive further into that list, providing quick hitters of some of the most intriguing and unique vendors I’ve come across on the show floor.
Caesar Guerini USA

High-end, Italian-made field and trap guns that are as gorgeous as they come. Even if you’re not in the market for one, stop by just to admire the incredible artistry and craftsmanship.
Nofence

This one is for our farmers/ranchers. Geo-fencing for cattle has benefits for both ag producers and wildlife. It’s a really unique product, and a win-win for both industry and conservation.
Soundgear

If you want to be able to hear your grandkids someday, grab a pair of Soundgear’s Shield or Phantom hearing protection. They’re the best in the business.
Frost River

The Duluth-based company sells a wide range of incredibly durable and stylish packs, as well as some great bird hunting and dog accessories. Their collapsable dog bowls are a favorite of mine.
North Life Clothing Company

Local Minnesota clothing store with some genuinely original t-shirt and hat designs. Also one of the few vendors I’ve seen offering a wide selection of youth hats, if you have kiddos in tow.
Chief Upland

Chief’s new PF branded vests bring a habitat flair to their already well-known product. Their Over/Under vest system is a leader in the upland world, and their new brush pants are some of the best on the market.
Federal Premium

Hunt like your grandpa with Federal Premium’s new Upland Paper shell. I used them extensively this fall. They function — and smell — incredible.
Decoy Apparel Co.

Also hunt like your grandpa. These guys have loads of clothing with traditional vibes, plus some more contemporary designs.
Gaim

Something to help you endure the February doldrums, when hunting season seems so far away. Gaim is a hunting and sport shooting VR simulator that’s equal parts video game and training aid.
