At Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever, we understand the importance of public lands to hunter access AND the value of private land conservation programs to high-quality habitat. Our 5 STATES 5 PROGRAMS, ONE MISSION video series highlights how walk-in programs are opening private land habitat to public land bird hunters. Follow along as we feature stories from our members and landowner partners who are living out the mission of “The Habitat Organization” every day.

The fifth and final installment of this video series focuses on the Iowa Habitat and Access Program (IHAP). This program has grown to over 20,000 acres, significantly increasing the amount of land available to hunters in Iowa. These private acres that are open to public hunting are all available thanks to landowners who participate in the IHAP program and the landowners in return receive funding and expertise for habitat improvements when they enroll. This program is a win for habitat, hunters, and landowners alike. (Source: Iowa Habitat and Access Program)
