“Bowman,” pictured in autumn 2016 at 9-years-old on a hunt near Pendleton, Oregon, is Chad Harvey’s veteran golden retriever. “We hunt all upland birds, but Bowman has a particular interest for quail and their chirping,” Harvey says, “He loves jumping large coveys and then hunting down the singles as they scatter.” Harvey is Pheasants Forever’s regional representative in Montana.
