Pheasants Forever member George Rosburg said goodbye to his longtime hunting partner, “Birdie,” last week. A German shorthaired pointer, Birdie was 14-years-old. This picture, from 2008, evokes great memories for Rosburg. “I like the red nose from working the field and the pride she seems to have in our birds,” Rosburg says, “Thanks for the great work Pheasants Forever does and the cool magazine. I’ve been a member for a bunch of years and will continue to support the effort.”
