My personal opinion on naming a pup, for what it's worth is that the name will be a challenge but be patient and wait for a "sign" or something that inspires a name. I have named several dogs over the years and always used this process. The last two for example were named at the last moment by inspiration. Here is a short story on each: Porter was named after we got home with the pup. As it turned out, we had picked up the pup at the Armstrong Game Fair. I was short on cash, so I borrowed $20 from a friend who was there exhibiting his product. I told him I would give him naming rights. When we got home, the puppy chased our cat from the garage. As he chased the cat, I shouted "PORTER". He stopped on a dime, came right back. His name was Porter from that moment. My most recent pup is named Sunny because as we drove to the breeder's house, it was a blue sky sunny day. So, his name is Sunny. Wait for the inspiration, it works for me..
No Roxor or Beau Fraiser' - I'm shocked :)
My new lab pup's name is Kochia.
