Water Quality Buffers Initiative Meetings Set in Worthington, Austin

Minnesota is looking to set a new conservation standard with Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton's Water Quality Buffers Initiative. A robust buffers program is needed to better protect our cherished waters, reduce erosion and enhance wildlife habitat. Can you attend a public meeting and voice your support for the Buffers Initiative?

This Thursday, April 2, Governor Mark Dayton and conservation leaders, including Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Tom Landwehr and Agriculture Commissioner Dave Fredrickson, will travel to Worthington and Austin for public meetings to discuss the proposals (HF1534/SF1537).

With your advocacy, we can set a new conservation course for Minnesota. If you can’t attend one of these meetings, be sure to contact your legislators and let them know you support the Water Quality Buffers Initiative.
